Rainbow Smiles

Today I am sharing a card of full of rainbow smiles using the  Smiley Faces stencil from A Colorful Life Designs from the July 2023 release!  I couldn't wait to use rainbow foil on these smiley faces which made the card shimmer and shine!

I used Dco Foil Transfer Gel with the stencil and let dry.  Then I foiled with rainbow foil using my Mini Minc Machine and wow do these smiley faces come to life!  I then added a small sentiment in the corner so it doesn't cover up all the happy faces.

Summer Screams for Ice Cream!

Treat yo-self to some cool ice cream during these hot summer days!  I created this fun ice cream cone card with Scrapbook.com's Sweet Scoops Shape Die set.   You can make a cone with lots of scoops or one with just a single scoop that is a shaker element!   

I die cut the scoops in 3 different colors of cardstock and the cone pieces in Sandy Beach cardstock.  I added some ink blending to the die cut pieces to darken the edges to give them some depth.  Then I stamped and embossed the sentiment and ct form the coordinating sentiment die.

I created a vignette look with blue ink and splattered with gold metallic watercolor.  I then assembled the ice cream cone and adhered it o the front of the card with foam tape, and finally, added some sequins for some sparkle!

Birthday Sprinkles

Today I am sharing a colorful birthday card I created using the Marvelous Masks Postage Stencil from  A Colorful Life Designs.  I used both the stencil and its mask for this card.

I blended a rainbow of colors using the larger of the Marvelous Mask Postage stencil.  Then I masked out the center with one of the smaller-sized stencils and added some gold splatter.  Then I used the smaller postage stencil to mask over the gold splatter, so that I could ink blend more color in the center.  Then I added a word die cut to complete the card.

I used Lunar Paste over the stencil onto dark blue cardstock.  Created a shaker window for the star embellishments and added a stamped sentiment wn word tdie to finish this bun and happy shaker card!

Floral Watercolor Birthday Card

I have been having fun with my watercolors lately and created a bright and summery background for my friend's birthday card.  The camera does not capture all the shimmery goodness, but it's all there and then some!

On a panel of Canson watercolor paper I painted rows of color with Paper Fashion Watercolors and let dry.  I then splattered with gold metallic watercolors.  

I stamped the floral image with watermark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder.  I used an arch die to cut out the panel and adhered to a card base.

I then die cut the word die from gold mirror cardstock and twice from white cardstock and stacked together.  Then I cut the shadow die from vellum, and adhered the stacked die cut to it and glued the entire piece to the from of the card. 

And finally, I added sequins for some extra sparkle to complete the card.

All Kinds of Amazing!

I am loving the Messy Harlequin stencil from the July 2023 release at   A Colorful Life Designs!    I couldn't wait to use Sizzix Prism Paste with the stencil and I think the results are amazing!

I used Sizzix Prism Paste over the stencil onto a Distress Oxide background I had in my stash. I think it gave the triangles in the stencil the look of diamonds!

I then created a gate-fold card base and adhered the stenciled panel onto the front of each side of the "gate" Added some simple floral die cuts and a bold sentiment from A Colorful Designs stamps set "Amazing".

Purple Flower Birthday Card

I thought the Graduated Lines stenciled by  A Colorful Life Designs was the perfect background for this bright  floral image!

I dry embossed the stencil first and then ink blended with an ombre effect over the embossed areas.  Stamped and colored a floral image and added a sentiment.

Having Fun with Stencils and Solar Paste!

Inspiration for my card today comes from Nicki Hearts Cards (see her video link below) where she used Simon Hurley create. Solar Paste and dry embossed with stencils.  It was so neat I had to try it myself and LOVE how it came out!
