When in Doubt...Add Glitter!

Color me happy!  When I saw the Chutes and Ladders stencil by A Colorful Life Designs, I immediately saw a critter painting a wall of rainbow colors.  And why not add a little glitter!  It also paired perfectly with this month's new stamp set, Glitter

I masked off the bottom of the Chutes & Ladders stencil so I could use a rainbow of inks for the top portion of the card front.  I then masked off the area above and below the middle section of the stencil, which looks to me like a road or sidewalk, and stenciled with grey ink.    

I then stamped a sentiment from A Colorful life Designs Glitter stamp set to the card front by stamping part of a single sentiment  at the top of the card and the rest of the sentiment at the bottom of the card.   

I stamped the fox and colored with Copics, die cut and adhered to the front of the card.  I added some shimmer to the fox's brushes and palette as well as the bold stamped word "Glitter" and then added white gel pen highlights to the fox to finish off the card.

Beautiful Ride!

I am loving this Halftone Circle by A Colorful Life Designs! For this design I created a whimsy rainbow with the stencil pattern.

I stenciled the Halftone Circle in rainbow colors to a card base.  I shifted the stencil slightly to the right and added Solar Paste for a little shimmer.  I stamped and colored the image and adhered to the card front with foam tape, and also stamped & embossed sentiment and added that to the card.  Lastly, I added some shimmer to parts of the image as well as glossy accents to the dog's glasses and scooter headlight for added interest.

The In and Out Dots stencil by A Colorful Life Designs gave me a coffee cup feel and this critter in a cup was perfect for this card project!

I used the In and Out Dots stencil to stencil brown and purple ink over a card panel.  I then shifted the stencil slightly to the right and added some Solar Paste with a foam blending tool to give the design a shimmery halo effect.

Once the paste was dry (it dries very fast!), I adhered it to a folded card base.  I then stamped the critter image and sentiment on Neenah cardstock and added them to the front of the card.  I colored the critter mage with Copics and added some white highlights with a white gel pen

I stenciled iZink Glitter Paint over the Halftone Circle stencil onto Sea Glass cardstock by Concord & 9th.  I cut the panel down, just smaller than an A2 size, using Waffle Flower Nested Rectangle Dies. I then stamped the sentiment with watermark ink and embossed with rose gold embossing powder. I then layered the panel to an A2 size piece of mirror gold cardstock. I adhered the entire piece onto a card base to finish the card.

Using an ink smooshed panel from my stash, I stenciled Solar Paste, in similar colors, over the panel using the Circle Quilt stencil.  The panel was created by insmooshing distress inks on watercolor paper.

Once the past was dry, I cut out with a rectangle die and adhered to a card base. And finally, I added die cut letters for  "hello" to the front of the card that were die cut from gold mirror cardstock.

Jawsome Birthday !

Today I am sharing a summer birthday card I made using the Trinity Stamps Birthday Shark Stamp and die set. The foiled school of swirled fish are ready to celebrate!🎂😀

I applied foil transfer gel through the fish stencil and foiled with Fancy Foils to create this sparkly background.  I then stamped, embossed,  and colored the shark, cut out and adhered to the center of the card.  Then stamped and die cut the sentiment and adhered under shark to complete the card

Elephant Walk

Today I am sharing a card with NO dimension. Although I love dimension, not every card has to have it.  I used the Marvelous Masks Grand Arches (Set A) stencils from A Colorful Life Designs to create the background for these beautiful silhouetted elephants.

I placed the Grand Arch stencil in the center of the card front and stenciled with Shooting Star ink.  I then place the arch to the left, aligning with the edge of the card, and  stenciled with Prom Queen ink, and finished the stenciling on the right side of the card in the same manner, with Clear Skies ink.  

I masked off each arch with the negative portion of the stencil, and splattered with Starry Night Metallic Watercolors. I then stamped  the elephant scene with Nocturne black ink to finish off the card.

I felt a sentiment may detract from this majestic scene, so I left it out.  I may decide to add one at a later time.

I went to Pinterest and found a color palette to use with this card and I love how all the colors go together with the plant theme.

Shimmery Geometric Birthday!

I thought Solar Paste was a fun pairing with the Dots In and Out stencil by A Colorful Life Designs.  Shop more in this month's release and save 10% on your complete order with A Colorful Life Designs (Master Bundles excluded) when you use coupon code Marcyfan10!

I applied Beluga Solar Paste, using domed foam blending tools,  over the stencil onto black cardstock and let dry (dries fairly quickly!) .  I then shifted the stencil and applied Royal Flush Solar Paste to the un-stenciled areas.  

I wanted to keep most of the stenciled design so I created a larger card at 5"x5", using a stitched die from Pink & Main.  I created a card base from Neenah cardstock  and cut down the stenciled card front with the same die.  Then adhered the card front to the card base.  

I die cut the Tattered Leaves die from both mirror cardstock and vellum and adhered to the center of the card front.  And finally, I added a sentiment I designed, printed on Hammermill cardstock, and then foiled using my Mini Minc machine.
