Today I am sharing a bright and shimmery card using Nuvo Shimmer Powders with the emboss-resist technique! The stamped image I used for this project is rather large and I didnt want to lose any of the design elements so I created a 5" x 7" card to keep the entire image intact.

I stamped the lanterns image onto panel of watercolor paper and heat embossed with white
detail embossing powder.
I taped the panel onto a
hard board (I use cheap clipboards) and gently sprinkled the Nuvo Shimmer
Powders to the embossed image. I sprayed with water and moved the board around
to get the water to certain areas and then set it aside to dry. It will look
like a mess but just leave it and you will be surprised how stunning they will
look when it dries!
These are surprisingly
quick to create, the longest (and hardest) part is waiting for the panel to
dry. So get out those shimmer powders and play! The more you use them, the more
you will get comfortable with how they work and the results are fabulous!
