Foiled Lush Leaves

Today I am sharing another fall card I made with Gina K. Designs Lush Leaves stencil and coordinating Poly Glaze Foiling Sheets.    You can achieve gorgeous foiled projects without the use of  fancy foiling machines! It's challenging to photograph foil but hopefully you can see all the shimmer in the video below.

I foiled the Lush Leaves Poly Glaze Foiling Sheet first with gold Deco Foil and then ink blended over it.  Then cut the panel down to mat on a black panel and then adhere entire piece to a card front.  I then die ciet teh Hello Autumn from plum cardstock and gold cardstock, then glued the die cuts to the front of the card.

Festive Fall Foliage

Pumpkin Spice Season!

 HAPPY FALL!

This is my most favorite time of year and I always feels like it passes by so quickly.   Today I am sharing a card to kick off PSL season, for all the coffee lovers out there!

I used the Fall Mandala stencil to crate a festive fall background.  I stamped & colored the image and adhered it onto an oval die of of vellum.  Stamped a sentiment, added some bling and this card is finished!

The S'more the Merrier!

I love s'mores and this card is packed full of these delicious treats!

I stenciled a few of the S'mores stencil by A Colorful Life Designs a few s'mores and then fussy-cut them out. I adhered them in a diagonal fashion onto the card front for a fun, repetitive design!

Soft Sunflowers

Today I'm sharing a sunny sunflower card I created with the Sunflower Scroll stencil by A Colorful Life Designs.

I dry-embossed the stencil onto Hammermill cardstock using my Gemini Jr. With the stencil still in place, I ink-blended color to the embossed areas. I added brown ink to a scrap piece of white cardstock to match the same ink I used in the center of the flowers for my sentiment. I then splattered with gold metallic watercolors and added a few clear embellishments to finish off the card.

Shimmery Lanterns

Today I am sharing a bright and shimmery card using Nuvo Shimmer Powders with the emboss-resist technique!  The stamped image I used for this project is rather large and I didnt want to lose any of the design elements so I created a 5" x 7" card to keep the entire image intact.

I stamped the lanterns image onto panel of watercolor paper and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder.

I taped the panel onto a hard board (I use cheap clipboards) and gently sprinkled the Nuvo Shimmer Powders to the embossed image. I sprayed with water and moved the board around to get the water to certain areas and then set it aside to dry. It will look like a mess but just leave it and you will be surprised how stunning they will look when it dries!

These are surprisingly quick to create, the longest (and hardest) part is waiting for the panel to dry. So get out those shimmer powders and play! The more you use them, the more you will get comfortable with how they work and the results are fabulous!
