Spring into Christmas!

is having a Spring Into Christmas Linky Party!

I know it's way too early to be thinking about the holidays, but I had so much fun creating two Christmas cards to start building my holiday card stash.  I was able to play with holiday stamp sets that I have yet to use, so this was a lot of fun!

I ink blended a background for my scene and splattered with gold metallic watercolor and white gouache, the die cut with a wonky frame die.  I then cut the snowy tree line from white cardstock and ran that through the die cut machine with the wonky frame die as well so that the stitched border would be seamless.  I attached the completed panel to the card front/base.

I stamped the yeti and coffee cup in Versamark watermark ink and embossed with gold detail embossing powder.  Then I cut out on my Scan n Cut. and colored the images with Copic markers.  I glued the coffee cup to yeti's hand and then positioned the entire image on the scene to determine where I want to stamp my sentiment.  Once that was decided, I set the yeti aside an stamped my sentiment with Versamark watermark ink and embossed with white detail embossing powder.   Final step, adhere the yeit image to the front of the card with 1mm foam tape.

I went through my stash of background panels for this card and located one that I thought would make a beautiful winter sky.  This background was made using the smooshing technique with Distress Oxide inks.

I cut out the birch tree cover dye in both white cardstock and silver holographic card stock, and I offset the silver hollow cardstock behind the white die cut and adhered together.  I then attached the single die cut onto the ink smooshed background

I then made a snowy hill, using Lawn Fawn‘s Stitched Hillside dies and attached that to the front of the panel, then glued  the entire panel onto a card base.

I  stamped the Miss Ink Stamps deer image, cut out with my Brother Scan n Cut and colored with Copic markers. I positioned the image on the snow hill to see where I wanted to place my sentiment. I removed the image and stamped the sentiment with a Catherine Pooler ink and then adhered the deer image with 1 mm foam tape to finish off the card.

One thing I would add to this card is some white splatter on the inked background to create falling snow.
