Scenic Christmas Card using the Eclipse Technique

Today I am sharing three beautiful scenic Christmas cards using the eclipse technique.

The eclipse technique is a layering method where a die-cut shape (I used a word die) is layered on top of a similar shape cut from a darker color of cardstock, creating the illusion of a "halo" effect around the die-cut image, making it appear as if it's "eclipsing" the background.

I saw Amy of Prairie Paper & Ink create these cards and I just had to try it - I think they came out so beautiful and dramatic.  Check out Amy's video here!
